The International Cricket Council (ICC) has confirmed that the 2027 ICC Men's ODI World Cup Qualifier will be held from February 22 to March 23, 2027, although the host nation for the tournament is yet to be announced.
The Qualifier will determine the final entrants for the 2027 ICC Men's ODI World Cup, which will be jointly hosted by South Africa, Zimbabwe and Namibia from October 4 to November 21, 2027.
The 2027 edition will be the first World Cup to use the ICC's revamped qualification structure.
Under the new format, the winner of the 10-team Qualifier will earn direct entry into the World Cup's main group stage.
The teams finishing second, third and fourth will progress to a newly introduced Super Series, where they will compete for the final place in the tournament's main phase. Only one of those three teams will advance, making the route to qualification more competitive than ever.

The top four sides from the Playoff will secure places in the 10-team World Cup Qualifier.
The Challenge League will feature 12 Associate nations, split into two groups of six.
Each group will contest three round-robin tournaments during the qualification cycle, with the top two teams from each group progressing to the Qualifier Playoff to keep their World Cup hopes alive.
One of the biggest storylines ahead of the September 30 rankings cut-off is the position of the West Indies.
Currently 10th in the ICC ODI rankings, the two-time World Cup champions have only two ODIs remaining before the qualification deadline, both against India.
Their fate will also depend on the upcoming five-match ODI series between Afghanistan and Ireland.
If Ireland win the series by 4-1 or 5-0, and West Indies defeat India in both matches, the Caribbean side could climb into the automatic qualification positions and avoid the Qualifier.
However, if Afghanistan win the series, West Indies are expected to remain outside the automatic qualification spots and will once again have to earn their World Cup place through the Qualifier.
Qualification remains a sensitive topic for West Indies after they failed to reach the 2023 ODI World Cup following a dramatic Super Over defeat to the Netherlands in the Qualifier in Harare.
The Netherlands and Sri Lanka went on to secure the two qualification spots from that tournament, while West Indies missed the men's ODI World Cup for the first time in their history.
With the ICC introducing a more demanding qualification system for 2027, every ODI ranking point and every qualifying match is set to carry even greater importance as teams battle for a place at cricket's premier 50-over event.
